The Coop-AURA-SHS regional network, financed by the Auvergne-Rh?ne-Alpes Region’s 2020 international ambition pack, was officially launched on 24 November 2020. This network aims to bring together actors involved in supporting researchers in the humanities and social sciences in the Region in order to share their expertise and improve their European project engineering practices.
Created from an initial collaboration between the Lumière Lyon 2 and Jean Moulin Lyon 3 Universities and the ?cole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, this network now brings together 14 higher education and research institutions: Université Lumière Lyon 2, Jean Moulin Lyon 3 University, the ?cole Normale Supérieure de Lyon, Jean Monnet Saint-?tienne University, Clermont Auvergne University, Université Grenoble Alpes, Savoie Mont Blanc University, the Catholic University of Lyon, Sciences Po Lyon, the COMUE Université de Lyon, the Rh?ne-Auvergne Delegation of the CNRS, Grenoble ?cole de Management, and Claude Bernard Lyon 1 University and the Hospices Civils de Lyon, both represented by their joint subsidiary Lyon Ingénierie Projets.
A roadmap was also prepared on 24 November 2020, focusing on two main objectives:

A roadmap was also prepared on 24 November 2020, focusing on two main objectives:
- Mobilising the regional research community in the humanities and social sciences on the 2021/22 European calls for projects; and
- Developing institutions’ competencies in supporting the submission of projects, particularly by forging links with renowned cross-border universities.
To this end, the network draws on relationships initiated with the French National Contact Point for Horizon Europe, the Region’s Europe specialists and the European project centres of the Universities of Geneva and Zurich.
A first 100% online regional information session “Europe and SHS” dedicated to European calls for humanities and social sciences projects was scheduled on Thursday 25 March 2021.
